Meet one of our favorite dentists, Dr. Christina Carter

In honor of National Dentist Day, we’re thrilled to introduce you to one of our favorite dentists, Dr. Christina Carter. Dr. Carter is a pediatric dentist and orthodontist with years of experience in helping children achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. Her dedication to children’s oral health has made her a trusted expert in the field, and we deeply appreciate all the feedback she provides the Willo team.

Dr. Carter’s passion lies in not just creating beautiful smiles, but also fostering lasting, positive dental habits in children. She loves that Willo empowers kids to take charge of their own oral hygiene. “Brushing teeth shouldn’t be a struggle,” Dr. Carter says.

Q&A with Dr. Christina Carter:

What do you love most about being a pediatric dentist?
I love the opportunity to make dental visits fun for kids and teach them the importance of good oral health habits from an early age.
I believe building healthy foundations sets kids up for bright futures. It’s so rewarding to see them develop confidence in their smiles!

Why are you excited about Willo?
Willo is a breakthrough in making tooth brushing both effective and enjoyable. It is very cool technology
and today's kids are motivated by technology! That’s huge in establishing healthy, consistent habits. For parents, I love that the Willo app gives them a brushing report card so they can make sure kids are not lying or faking brushing their teeth!

What’s one piece of advice for parents who find tooth brushing a battle?
Make it age appropriate. We don't expect
3 year olds and 13 year olds to respond to the same motivations. When kids are young, make it fun and offer rewards. As they age, teach them the importance of oral health on their lifelong health. Use tools like Willo that empower them to take control of their dental health across developmental stages. Establishing the habit of brushing twice a day for two minutes is what matters!
